It's Almost Game Day... Time To Move!

Well, friends. The big day is almost here. The day that David, HDawg, Tucker and I pack up our beloved little house and move into a rental home closer to D's job.

We are so excited.

We are also so sad to leave our sweet house. There are so many memories in these walls... it's the first home that we owned together, the place with the walls (and floors and ceilings and everything in between!) we invested so much time and energy in and the house we brought our sweet baby H home to.

It's not easy to leave what feels like so much behind. But, instead of being sad, I'm going to take my own advice and remember that the house itself isn't what makes a family, but, rather, "what I love most about my home is who I share it with."

David and I are very excited to start this new chapter in our lives and, of course, to share it with all of you! So wish us luck as we move this weekend. Hopefully we're ready! I forgot how much fun moving is... umm, said no one, ever. I'm pretty much drowning in bubble wrap at this point! HDawg is ready to flex his guns and do some heavy lifting, but if any of you want to come help, I pay in margaritas.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Happy moving!

Moving is tough, physically and emotionally when you love your house. But onto the next chapter! Good things are to come, for sure. And hey -- great excuse for lots of margaritas!

  9. I hope your move goes sure smoothly. I have no doubts that this is bittersweet. But I know there will be countless memories to come. Think. It will be hard to move from your next house, too. Every house becomes a home because of your family.

  12. The sticker in your planner is epic. How has no one mentioned that??

Good luck tomorrow, I know it's sad leaving, but I'm almost 100% sure you won't look back when you shut that door! On to new beginnings :)

  13. I just discovered your blog a few weeks ago, and I love all your creativity! We have totally gutted and remodeled our home over the last two years, and we're going to have to move in the near future since our jobs are pretty far away now from our house. I'm imagining what it will be like to leave this home we've put so much love into! Best of luck with your move!
