30 Day Photo Challenge

I'm still reallllly excited about my new camera (you should have seen me all over the fall foliage this weekend on our mountain trip- 250 pictures of a leaf is a little crazy!) but still have a TON to learn. In my opinion, the best way to learn is by diving right in and having a hands-on experience.

Last week, I asked if any of you would be interested in hopping on board that kind of hands-on photo experience with me in the form of a thirty day photo challenge. The response was overwhelming with a whole bunch of YESSSSes. So I thought, let's do it!

(drumroll please)

Welcome to the Ten June 30 Day Photo Challenge!

I'm certainly not savvy enough with photography to draft my own list, so I did some research and found this fabulous list from a fabulous photographer- Kristi James Photography. Talk about some seriously inspiring pictures- Kristi and her 30 day challenge pictures blew me out of the water! She is located in South Carolina, so if any of you lucky ducks are near her and need a professional photographer, she's your girl.

So there it is! I plan to break up the challenge over the next four weeks. Next Wednesday, let's circle back here and share Days 1-7. I'll have a link party going so that you can draft up a blog post on your first week of the challenge and then share with everyone. It's just seven photos! Sounds simple enough, right?!

Not convinced yet? I promise, it will be fun! Don't worry about the commitment if you can't keep up with seven photos a week. Just try what you can and share along the way! The more the merrier... and the more of you sharing your photography stories means the more we can all learn from each other.

And maybe if I get my act together, I'll have a button for the challenge that you can put on your blog. You can expect flashing lights and sounds (kidding, kidding). You know how I roll.

So, who's with me?!

LET THE PHOTO TAKING BEGIN!

  1. Love this idea. I have had my camera for almost a year and I still don't know how to use it. This is a great excuse to learn. I'm on board. Can't wait!

  9. Photography is one of my hobbies and I've been pretty bad about it this year! I had seen this challenge somewhere else and thought about joining up, so I think I will. Hopefully, it will get me motivated enough to pick up my camera again.
